Aim: To discuss about the specific characteristics of intestinal parasitic infection that contributes to formation stunting.
 Discussion: Intestinal parasites (IPI) are one global utmost health dilemmas, because they put certain vulnerable member population, e.g., children, in danger. Global prevalence rate IPI varied from 30-60%, especially developing countries located within region tropical and subtropical zone create a definite public burden, particularly low- middle-income countries, including Indonesia. Basically, divided into helminths- protozoans; each have different unique with helminths more sophisticated life cycle compare protozoan. tends be chronic sub-clinical, due evasion host's immune system. This affects host, directly indirectly, long term when it happen during toddlerhood, undernourishment stunting via pathways. Transmission occurs mainly food contamination; is usually always related daily socio-economic activity. Persistent transmission exists source available practice poor hygiene supports continuous contamination environment. By knowing details gastrointestinal parasite, all stake holder can participate communal effort break chain transmission.
 Conclusion: The presence infected individuals main contributor existence persistent environment this then play role stunting.
